Pop icon Janet Jackson has spent the entire year on the road, reminding masses – the world over – about her back-catalogue of smashes.
The trek’s latest stop was Miami’s Fillmore, where the 45 year old delighted the audience with hits such as ‘Feedback’, ‘Rhythm Nation’, and ‘If’.

Pop icon Janet Jackson covered the August 2010 issue of Essence, and now the accompanying photoshoot for that very cover has now surfaced. The lusty 44-year-old kept things demure but still sexy and classy in the spread which features the drop dead gorgeous actor Adam Rodriguez of ‘CSI: Miami’ fame. The things I would do to that man is something serious.
When he heard Janet requested him to play her love interest for the shoot, he was beyond flattered. He says she has a “genuine sweetness”, before continuing “It’s a beautiful thing to see someone with that kind of lifelong success hold on to something that most people lose so easily when put in the spotlight”.
Best quote in the article is this one: So when you’re thinking of asking Miss Jackson, “What have you done for me lately?” remember that Britney, Ciara and Beyonce live in the house that Janet built”. Truer words have never been spoken. Check out more scans after the jump. Picture source.

MILAN, Italy — US singer Janet Jackson lent her star power to a gala charity in Milan that raised more than a million dollars for AIDS research, organisers said.
“This battle needs all of us to be brave warriors,” Jackson said during a brief appearance at the Monday evening dinner and dance organised by the Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR).
The evening’s biggest sale was a Dsquared jacket signed by Janet Jackson and other celebrities, snapped up by Diesel designer Renzo Rossof for 36,000 euros (53,000 dollars).
Earlier a pair of handmade boots decorated with some 3,000 stones, made for Michael Jackson but never worn by the late king of pop, went for 10,000 euros. He died June 25 aged 50.
